conditionnelle
DESCRIPTION IN ENGLISH :
INTERNATIONAL STUDY PROGRAMME IN OXFORD
Who it is
for ?
The course is for students from both the European Union and the rest of the world. You should intend to go on to study at University after taking the ISP
(International Study Programme).. You need to have a good intermediate level of
English already before you can join the course.
What
level of English do I need ?
If you are to complete the course successfully, you need to have an adequate
level of English. You will usually satisfy this requirement if you have :
- Studied English at school up to age 18,
- Passed the Cambridge First Certificate in English with a Grade C,
- Obtained a score of 5.0 in the British Council International English
Language Test.
We will check your level of English when you apply (oral interview + listening
comprehension), and if you do not have an adequate level, we will advise you
what to do.
You will study English as well as
three academic modules. You will be offered a choice of modules, which currently
includes : Business Studies, Culture and Society, Law, Literature and
Communications, Psychology, Tourism and European Studies.
If you wish to study any other subjects, please ask us when you fill out the
application form.
How do I apply to a University in the UK ?
Most students, although by no means all want to go on to Higher Education in
the UK or in their own country. In order to enter a University in the UK, you
first have to fill out a UCAS form, which is sent to the Universities you
choose. They will decide on the basis of the UCAS form whether to : interview
you, offer you a conditional place, offer you an unconditional place. However,
entry to a University is competitive, that is to say, there are more potential
students than there are places on degree courses. It is therefore essential that
you fill out the UCAS form properly, and we spend a lot of time helping and
advising you. The Careers Officer also will advise you on your choice of
Universities and degree courses, both as a group and individually. We will also
prepare you for interviews and provide Universities with any information that
they request. While we cannot guarantee that anyone will be offered a place at
University, in previous years all successful students who wanted to enter Higher
Education have been offered a University place.

workload. However, a number of students manage to combine studying on the ISP
with working part-time.
How can I enrol as a student on the ISP ?
To become a student on the ISP, you need to send a written application form
to our representative in your country, who will answer your questions and make
sure you understand the course requirements. We will then make you an offer of a
place (or refer you to a more suitable course), and if you accept it, we will
then let you know what to do. Here is the
